When you upload a PDF and “clipping” is selected then will the edition by default be clipped within 48 hours.
As soon as a PDF has been submitted for clipping, it is processed “externally”. By default, the processing time is 48 hours to clip an edition. Of course fast processing time is sometimes desirable, this is also possible. Discuss these specific wishes with your account manager.
